Peer Review Process

Review Model

All submissions to Vistula Conferences undergo double-blind peer review: author identities are withheld from reviewers, and reviewer identities are withheld from authors, throughout the process.

Number of Reviewers

Each manuscript is evaluated by a minimum of two independent reviewers with relevant subject-matter expertise. Where reviewers' assessments diverge significantly, the Editor-in-Chief may invite a third reviewer.

Timeline

The standard review period is two to four weeks from the completion of the initial editorial screening. Authors are notified promptly of any anticipated delay.

Decision Categories

• Accept — the manuscript is ready for publication as submitted.
• Minor Revisions — the manuscript requires limited changes before acceptance.
• Major Revisions — the manuscript requires substantial revision and a further round of review.
• Reject — the manuscript is not suitable for publication in its current or any revised form.

Appeals

Authors who disagree with an editorial decision may submit a written appeal to the Editorial Office within 14 days of notification, stating their grounds in detail. The Editor-in-Chief reviews all appeals, which may involve consultation with an additional independent reviewer, and issues a final decision.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents and are not disclosed to anyone outside the review process.
