Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Ethical Framework

Vistula Conferences adheres to the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of authors, reviewers, and editors involved in the publication process.

Duties of Authors

• Submit only original, previously unpublished work not currently under consideration elsewhere.
• Accurately represent research findings without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.
• Properly cite and acknowledge the work of others.
• Disclose all sources of funding and any potential conflicts of interest.
• Ensure that all listed authors meet accepted authorship criteria and have approved the final manuscript.

Duties of Reviewers

• Evaluate manuscripts objectively and on their scholarly merit.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding manuscripts under review.
• Disclose any conflicts of interest and decline review where appropriate.
• Alert the Editorial Office to any suspected ethical concerns.

Duties of Editors

• Evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, regardless of authors' nationality, gender, religion, or institutional affiliation.
• Ensure a fair, timely, and transparent review process.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of submitted work.
• Take appropriate action in response to ethical complaints.

Plagiarism Screening

All submissions are screened using similarity-detection software prior to peer review. Manuscripts exhibiting substantial unoriginal content, including self-plagiarism, are returned to the authors or rejected.

Corrections and Retractions

Errors identified after publication are addressed through a formal correction or, in cases of serious ethical breach, a retraction, following COPE guidance. Requests for correction should be directed to the Editorial Office.
